O papel do corpo na aprendizagem e no desenvolvimento da criança

O corpo e a experiência direta são a base da aprendizagem de cada indivíduo; é necessário partir deles para gerar conhecimento. O ambiente escolar deve ser um espaço acolhedor, capaz de apoiar e estimular, onde o professor desempenha um papel decisivo, pois pode envolver as crianças oferecendo estímulos criativos e motivadores. A escola, ainda hoje, nem sempre reserva espaço para o movimento, entendido não apenas como uma disciplina didática a ser executada dentro da grade horária, mas como uma prática habitual, constante e repetida, transversal e aplicável à vida cotidiana. A revisão da literatura, realizada por meio da análise de estudos com crianças em idade pré-escolar e escolar, foi utilizada para verificar cientificamente os benefícios e o suporte que o corpo pode oferecer, tanto em casos de desenvolvimento neurotípico quanto de deficiência. Essa argumentação confirma que as habilidades motoras, associadas a um movimento adequado, contribuem para melhorias nos aspectos cognitivo, físico, social e emocional.
