Editorial for Formazione & insegnamento, 21(3). The published contributions are presented in light of three interrelated themes: improvement of educational interventions from a constructivist perspective; recognition of the multidimensionality of the digital transition, especially in terms of literacy and skills; and a return to the environment as a guiding pole of educational action, also concerning community and collective learning phenomena.
