Abstract

Football is the most popular sport in Italy. This work intends to promote a reflection on its potentially educational aspects, starting from some of the main sport classifications that describe its intrinsic characteristics. The aim is to examine the socio-relational processes and dynamics through which young people could achieve positive results in terms of development
through participation in this sport, and to restore meaning and pedagogical significance to a sport that, in order to express its educational vis, requires training education capable of developing teaching-learning processes that are intentionally and authentically pedagogical.
