Compared to the past, economic theories need a plurality of disciplines and pedagogical skills to adhere more to reality. In our post modern society the phenomenon’s of globalization and consumerism are literally pulverizing the resources of nature. The social inequities and the existential vacuum of the future of the new generations increase dramatically. In this contest, the pedagogy of work and adult education must recall the importance of vocational training to make it compatible with the real future needs of young people and with the thrusts that come from innovative learning contexts and new production environments.
