Abstract

The work presents a systematic review of the literature on methods and tools for develop technical fundamentals in volleyball. Overall, 17 scientific contributions were identified, after an appropriate screening process, the purpose of this review. From the analysis of the results, it emerges that the analyzed works generally concern the methodologies used for teaching the various volleyball techniques (serve, underhand pass, set, smash). The main training methods found concern both more traditional methods such as instructional training, playful, plyometric, intensive or extensive training, and mixed approaches, such as the dynamic approach, the cognitive approach, the approach using visual aids, approach on partial and total combinations. Finally, other research has highlighted the effects of methodologies such as the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) and the Small Side Game (SSG).
