This contribution offers a retrospective overview of the main developments concerning Formazione & insegnamento (ISSN 2279-7505) during the five-year period 2021–2025. The journal is situated within the broader context of the transformations affecting the world of scholarly publishing. The essay examines the results achieved, its current positioning, and possible lines of future development. The overall aim is both reflective and documentary: to account for the journal’s recent trajectory and to illustrate its implications for Authors, Readers, Reviewers, and Editors.
