Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the role played by Roma artistic culture,
namely flamenco, in the education of girls and boys and, more generally, in
Roma culture. We want to contribute to their cultural institutions, starting
with the awareness of their own perception and the problem of the decline
of the meaning of Roma culture into mere folklore for tourists.
The epistemological framework refers to an interpretative pedagogy and
thus to a hermeneutical approach. The survey technique is ethnographic
and uses the semi-structured interview. The qualitative methodology is understood
as a normative epistemology that attempts to capture the relational
dynamics both among the phenomena studied and in its interior and
therefore, implies a systemic perspective.
