Abstract

The work, starting from a multidimensional model of health, is placed in the context of medical and clinical pedagogy, which investigates the relationship between mind and body both in the caregiver and in the patient, highlighting the importance of the contribution of multiple disciplines to theory and pedagogical practices in this sector. The goal is the construction of generative transdisciplinary training models that help to tackle the most critical elements in the care professions (in particular stress), highlighting both the biopsychosocial correlates and the protective elements. Finally, what can be defined as a humanistic interpretation of the experience of illness is considered, as a possible horizon of meaning in the context of a broader existential meaning of suffering.
