Training places: from agora to digital citizenship
Abstract
The purpose of this reflection, conducted from two different perspectives, one of philosophical-educational and one of a scientific-technological nature, is to investigate the concept of agora as a public space par excellence, recalling classical tradition. Symbol, and myth, of democracy based on speech and dialogue, today has landed in technological places “places”, with “virtual” implications sometimes obscure in purpose. In this current perspective, the two authors identify positive and negative elements, strongly linked to the different cultural substratum and the different sensitivity to the knowledge of the past and the present.
