Abstract

The need to ensure quality as well as equity in the Italian Education and Training System is directly related to the process of innovation that characterised the last decade of the national development. This process was the result of the numerous debates on the actual status of the Italian Education system. Both the educational and the vocational training systems are connected with respect for their capability of matching the expectations; in fact the two of them are essentially linked to the academic achievements of students,
including the ones who have difficulties/disorders or certified special
education requirements, and those enrolled in Lifelong Learning – or
Life Wide Learning – activities linked to social and economic development.
