The relationship between doctor and immigrant patient, today, is an important test for a radical rethinking of a concept of health that is centered on an educational pact of co-responsibility between a reflective professional and an active citizen. In particular, the general practitioner is, today more than ever, called to be an educator of healthy lifestyles and promoter of an intercultural mentality in the context of a European society so multicultural, but where the challenge of a constructive coexistence between peoples and cultures is more than ever open.
