Supported employment for people with disability in Lombardy: the opinion of employers

Abstract

The legislation governing the hiring process of people with disability in organizations
but it can not guarantee their effective inclusion within the
workplace. A questionnaire was administered to the human resources manager
si of 350 companies in Lombardy. This quantitative study investigated
the views of employers involved in a hiring process during the year 2014.
We investigated these topica: the degree of satisfaction of the companies ,
the usefulness of the task entrusted to the employee, the perception related
to costs and benefits, the degree of membership of the worker and the
company will repeat the experience.
The results showed that the hiring of the employee in the organization is
not always due to the effective satisfaction of the employer, but it is often
the result of a mechanism that leads organizations to consider
