Abstract

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the roadmap for a shared global change. The vision behind it must be critically assessed by pedagogy; indeed civilization is not exclusively linked with the achievement of socio-economic goals. In terms of sustainable human development, the sense of the educational horizon is centred on the person. Moving towards a fair and supportive society means relying on younger generations who qualify themselves as just, generous and respectful. For every SDGs, they should adopt lifestyles, mode of communication, production and consumption, that are oriented towards fraternity. In this context, the common good is a guarantee for personal dignity. A new civilisation’s path can grow from the humanizing force of collaboration between young people. To develop this aspiration, the civic commitment of the University’s Third Mission can be focused on sustainability, also in the complexity of post-Covid 19.
