L'Intelligenza Artificiale Generativa rende obsoleta la metodologia didattica fondata sul Debate?

Abstract

Questo articolo indaga se l’intelligenza artificiale generativa (IA), esemplificata da strumenti quali ChatGPT, renda obsoleta la metodologia didattica del debate. Esamina le reazioni provenienti dal settore educativo, che spaziano da una iniziale resistenza fino a una strategica integrazione, e l’impatto profondo sull’ambito del debate competitivo. Pur riconoscendo che l'IA potenzia la fase preparatoria attraverso strumenti sofisticati e strategie iterative di prompting, lo studio pone l’accento sulla salvaguardia di compiti autenticamente umani, quali l’abilità retorica, la riflessione critica e il ragionamento etico. Introducendo concetti quali “aggregazioni di compiti” e “artefatti cognitivi”, sostiene l’integrazione dell’IA come complemento, non come sostituto. L'analisi evidenzia la necessità di politiche equilibrate e di una competenza critica per armonizzare l’innovazione tecnologica con il valore durevole della creatività, della collaborazione e dell’autonomia nel debate. Lungi dal cadere nell'obsolescenza, il debate evolve in una dinamica sintesi di intelligenza umana e artificiale.
