Le laboratoire théâtral en prison : Une opportunité pour se reconstruire et reconstruire des relations saines avec la société civile

Cette contribution empirique, fondée sur une étude de cas, propose une réflexion sur les potentialités du laboratoire théâtral d'Éducation Civique dans le contexte carcéral, considéré comme une occasion de reconstruire une nouvelle identité du détenu, condition préalable à la réédification de relations humaines saines avec la société civile. En s'appuyant sur les résultats d’activités théâtrales menées dans des établissements pénitentiaires, tant au niveau international que national, cet article présente une bonne pratique issue de la prison de Trani. Celle-ci, en combinant théâtre social et psychodrame hybride — caractérisé par la similitude et l’allégorie — a permis aux détenus de prendre conscience de leurs failles et d’en analyser les effets. Les résultats du laboratoire ont montré qu’une approche pédagogique innovante — où l’éducation et l’instruction s’unissent pour une véritable émancipation — peut favoriser un apprentissage transformateur et fécond.
