Training strategies for the inclusion of “second generations”: a Spanish experience
Abstract
This paper focuses on “immigrant children” reunited with the family in adolescence.
After a brief overview on the reality of immigration families and
on the evolution of the Dominican migratory process towards Spain, the focus
is on the phenomenon of N.E.E.T. and on the specific case of the Liga
Dominicana of Basketball in Madrid. Using the semi-structured interview,
the essay presents the experience of teenagers and coaches who daily dialogue
and compare themselves through sports practice, which is configured
as a valuable training tool to support the processes of inclusion of
young people “migrants”.
