Abstract

The article is inspired by Law 107/2005 and from a recent paper by Edgar
Morin. A school needs a really good change. The current situation is complex
and the challenge resulting forces focus more on teaching the educational
effort to learn to live. Form people and citizens also means focus on
the key skill of learning to learn and to do this it is necessary that the disciplines to dialogue with more pleas on the “school of life and human under
standing”. The National Guidelines are the indispensable context to not get
lost in the sea of knowledge, but the prompts to handle the many life require
attention. Teachers, therefore, have to be guides of genuine start to
life, working on the construction of a bridge that makes a closer relationship
and school environment. A new course for the school means, remembering
Morin, playing the role of teacher as “orchestra conductor”. Learning
to learn, then, as the horizon of the march, in which empathy (as a pedagogical
and educational category) could benefit in paving new roads, for
the good of the Country.
