Abstract

The present paper aims to offer a contribution in the definition of the theo-retical-practical principles that should be at the basis of the processes of structuring pedagogical settings. In this perspective, we specifically wanted to highlight the need to promote continuous training opportunities that allow professionals in the field of education to develop an adequate know-how in the treatment of educational-communication processes and in the definition of different educational “contexts”. Firstly, attention is focused on comics, a transversal medium that may be applied to various places of education, which is investigated as a possible training tool, with particular reference to environmental and ecological awareness. Secondly, starting with the transformation of exhibition environments intended for the enhancement of cultural heritage, we look at the museum as a resource for lifelong edu-cation and the need to strengthen the pedagogical skills of museum education service professionals.
