Abstract

The purpose of this contribution is to examine the role that educational research
plays in teacher training. In fact, educational research, as an important
factor in the development of teaching professionalism, occupies an important
place in teaching-learning processes because it helps to make appropriate
decisions in specific classroom contexts and to innovate the educational
action system. The importance of educational research, especially
of empirical research, can not be ignored if we want to improve teacher
training and increase the quality of the education system as a whole, making
it increasingly fair, healthy and meaningful; therefore, the function of research
is rather broad and incisive for the growth and development of education
and society.
