Community development and its representations: A qualitative research in the province of Cuneo

The community-development approach represents an interesting research field for educational studies: in particular, it represents an useful tool to promote sustainability. Although, the concept of community is not clear in the social sciences because it involves complex questions. Starting from this perspective, this essay suggests some considerations on this issue: in particular, it derives its perspective from a qualitative research conducted in the Province of Cuneo. Through the analysis of the point of view of educators, social workers and active citizens involved in processes of community development, it will therefore stress some aspects of the question from an educational point of view.
