The practice of care and the gift of educational relations of volunteering in prison

The educational relationships that are established within the prisons between volunteers and prisoners are configured as a mutual gift of care that produces in one the attention to the other, free from retributive or utilitarian logic, and that induces in the other a process of accountability, of aware processing of the crime committed, in view of a possible integration in the free society, already during the external enforcement procedure.
