The Covid-19 emergency and the need to rethink the learning environment, at home as at school

This contribution aims to present a training educational research, at the Faculty of Education of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, through which we have tried to act on two main focuses: promoting teachers' awareness of the central role of the learning environment in the learning process and sup-porting parents in some simple choices to make home a real environment in which promoting significant experiences. We involved a considerable number of kindergarten teachers from the province of Bolzano, who have been involved in training courses. We reflected on the need to make school environments promoter of autonomous activities based on the pupil's free choice. We also tried to support, during the lockdown, the families involved with simple strategies to make home a learning environment.
