Distance learning is considered as mimetic and simulated: in this paper we shall investigate the educative relationship folded onto the communicative network. It shouldn’t pretend to be a copy or a mere procedural transposi-tion (often operated by logic and mathematical terms) of a “conceptual model” of reality, but rather an occasion to foster in the students a process of internalization of the simulated model and of externalization of one’s own cognitive load as well as a process of comparison of one’s own mental mod-els. In different terms, we should say that distance learning is a re-enactment of the hermeneutic circle.
