Abstract

The teaching of logic, as part of the maths programmes has already been introduced in italian schools since the nineties. The Association of Symbolic
Logic (A.S.L., 1995) stresses the need for it not to be taught as a separate subject
but to complement other parts of mathematics such as set theory, probabilistic
calculations or computer science (Tortora, 1998).
Perhaps, is it necessary take a step forward and consider applying logic to
wider contexts in order to test the application of logic tools to the educational
field. The idea is to verify the use of logic instruments in the area of
training, because the logic is not merely something in stardand but a wide
range of rational theories, useful to the solving complex problems through
the development of specific skills and without prejudice of imagined conflict
between convergent and divergent thinking.
