Using video-based observation and analysis research methods to evaluate teachers’non verbal behaviours
Abstract
This paper reviewing the evidence on how evaluation system for schools affects
school achievement and sustain advance teacher development. The
purpose of this paper is to analyze teacher’s nonverbal communication in
class to highlight important methodological considerations and provide
practical guidance for evaluation.
The present study has focused teacher’s nonverbal communication in class.
It proposed a model, which can be followed step by step to conduct an effective
video study in a class setting for teacher’s evaluation. This paper also
described obstacles researchers should anticipate using video recording
methods for teacher’ s evaluation in future studies.
This paper reviewed studies in the literature which used analysis of nonverbal
behaviour in research to describe an evaluation system that measure
teacher competence.
