Boundaries. Transdisciplinary Workshops in Initial Teacher Training
Abstract
With the “Su Misura” tool, a computer-based system of learning evaluation
provided by the publisher Anicia, in the last four years many education and
research activities have been performed with the help of schoolteachers. In
the article, educational needs are regrouped in four categories not mutually
exclusive: the docimological needs, of which we will only state the existence;
the “idola mentis”, generated by the lack of knowledge or by epistemological,
theoretical and methodological misconceptions; the traps of categorization,
produced by the dominant discursive mechanisms; the perverse
effects, an unforeseen undesirable adaptive behavior.
Our thesis is that the main direction to respond to these formative needs is
represented by a curriculum focused on laboratory transdisciplinary activities,
where the boundaries among the different disciplines – as philosophy,
economy, pedagogy, didactics, docimology, sociology, psychology – are systematically and creatively violated.
