Abstract

By starting from the question of who “feral children” are nowadays and which are the possible actual meanings of such phrase, this research aims to draw an itinerary that crosses different subject fields. By doing so, it is possible to identify how this theme could still contribute to the science of education.
Therefore, the aim is that of accomplishing an analysis capable of highlighting the links between the theme of “feral children,” history of pedagogy, neuroscience, and current pedagogical debate. Particular attention is paid to nodes of intersection, possibilities of dialogue and educational issues.
