From Amato to Moratti. The ForTic project and the empirical research in Schools and Universities
Abstract
In this paper we examine the adoption policies of information and communications
technology (ICT) in the European education system.
From a political view, European Commission’s answers to the new challenges,
related to the use of ICT, have been discussed at Lisbon Summit
with the plan “eEurope2002”. In Italy, during the same time, we are witnessing
the implementation of the National Plan of Education on Computer and
Technological Skills for school employees, with the objective of outline different
levels of skills emerging from professors.
Teachers’ training and upgrading have been supported by experimentations
from universities, which is a corollary of the empirical research conducted
by the teachers of the schools in Veneto.
