The creation of capabilities through associations: Towards new models of life-plan support

Abstract

This article offers a literature review and some preliminary thoughts on an ongoing research project in the field of education. The focus is on the link between associations and the spreading of new models that might offer support to the life-plan of people with disabilities. The core ideas are those of a model of rights, as well as capability in Sen’s terms—i.e. the capability of people in fragile and exposed conditions.
