Competence-based teaching in Licei (High Schools). A School-University collaborative research
Abstract
What kind of Licei (High Schools) can be conceived from the analysis of their educational planning? What kind of transformations are taking place in the Licei system following the incorporation of didactics within the framework of “competence”? Is it possible to develop a competence-based curricular planning model for Italian Licei starting from the results of a research&training project? A research, “I Nuovi Licei alla prova delle competenze. Guida alla Progettazione
nel biennio” (New Licei put to the competence test; A guide to de planning of
the first two-year period) (Perla, 2014), provides a possible solution. This paper shows the results of a collaborative research that involved 21 Licei in Apulia, 21 school heads and 110 teachers in different subjects aimed at the development of a competence-based educational model for the first two-year period of Licei.
