Abstract

The doctorate, one of the innovation main drivers, is affected by profound
transformations that require to think again about its training paths. We focus
on the transferable skills training which is one of the strategies promoted
by supranational organizations and experimented by universities all over
the world. The national level mapping shows in Italy a patchworked situation
and a pronounced heterogeneity of the paths that makes desirable a
comprehensive and integrated reflection of the offer for the near future.
