Abstract

This paper focuses on the relationship between methodological and intercultural
competences of future teachers. As regards the initial teacher training,
University plays a crucial role and it has also a relevant value, for this
reason it should take the necessary steps to offer not only theoretical tools,
but also practical and operational ones, that could became an essential part
of the toolbox of future teachers, both in the kindergarten and in the primary
school. Here we’ll bring an experience carried out at the University of
Bari, during which the social and intercultural Pedagogy students, who are
attending the Degree Course in Primary Education, have had the opportunity
to live their learning as an experience not only theoretical but also practical.
The students have had the possibility to analyse and internalize the
procedures actually used in the schools in the field of intercultural education.
