Educator and educationalist at school. Why, roles and competencies
Abstract
Today, in order to be defined as “good, a school of quality cannot respond
only and solely to the new educational needs coming from the increasingly
complex and “liquid” current society. This essay aims to underline how,
for this reason, the professional figures of the educator and the educationalist
have been legitimated, just next to the professional and educational
figure of teacher, as the ones most specifically prepared to intercept and
face new educational needs, both in different social contexts and inside
school institution itself. These are the figures which professionalism Pedagogy
have to invest in strongly, today, both at training and guidance level, if
it really want let education, its specific object, achieve his task in our society:
supporting human mind to face changes.
