Manage the sport for an educational development
Abstract
The objective of this contribution is the identification of a managerial approach in
the sporting sector, capable of stimulating an educational development. In the meaning of “sports management”, often, the attention is exclusively drawn on
the economic aspects, omitting the opportunity to apply the management techniques in social and educational contexts. A performing management strategy is, in fact, able to exploit the great educational potential inherent in sports. Due to its key values, such as team spirit and respect for the rules, sports has always represented a social context predisposed to support educational development. In this regard, this contribution proposes a management methodology that supports this sector in pursuing such objective.
