Evaluating quality in early childhood education and care service: a study of the consistency of ACEI-IGA assessment tool
Abstract
The current study is part of an international research on the psychometric properties of Global Guidelines Assessment tool developed by the Association of Childhood Education International (Italian version named “IGA – Indicazioni Globali per l’Autovalutazione”). Participants were 23 teachers and 9 pedagogical coordinators from kindergartens run by the Municipality of Parma (Italy). The results show strong internal consistency for the IGA as well as moderate interrater consistency.
