Educational research between practices and institutional policies
Abstract
The theme of educational research is faced with the prospect of a critical interpretation with reference to the sphere of institutional policies and practices. The reflection moves by a brief presentation of the global scenario in which lies today educational research and major impact on education and training
systems. Research is deeply called into question by the ongoing trends and needs a substantial commitment to review at all his issue, from the epistemological structure to the development of appropriate methods of
investigation. A brief study on the relationship between educational research, institutional policies and practices highlights some troublesome issues and helps to give evidence at working directions. Some lessons learned from the exercise of educational research are finally presented, with special attention
to attitudes and professional habitus that must characterize who does educational
research.
