Abstract

This essay examines the contribution that Outdoor Education offers to build a responsible and sustainable relationship between mankind and nature. In particular, we consider how the
garden can constitute an educational place where understanding the overcoming of the nature/culture divide becomes possible. The pedagogical reading of the garden allows to identify
possibilities of human development and improvement, starting from the inputs deriving from the in-depth knowledge of plants and the green landscape.
