This contribution examines the epistemological and methodological conditions required to foster genuine interdisciplinarity within teaching and learning processes. Starting from the assumption that knowing is always an intentional act and that each disciplinary content functions as a signifier referring to a meaning, the text distinguishes two fundamental dimensions of knowledge: meaning as referent and meaning as sense.
