Abstract

This paper outlines some reflections about the concept of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
In particular, it is take into consideration the “macro-category”, considered as SEN only in Italy, of the “socio-economic, linguistic and cultural disadvantage”, in order to identify and analyse some possible effects that this label produces in teachers’ perception of difficulties, assumption of responsibility and teaching practice.
