The Italian Journal of Educational Research (IJEduR), the official organ of the Italian Society of Educational Research (SIRD), is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. It is multi-disciplinary and broad in its scope by addressing rigorous research and evaluation at all levels, and in all sectors and ages of education.

IJEduR publishes original academic articles that promote educational processes and outcomes that are both well-informed and evidence-based. It also includes articles about the use and evaluation of evidence in practice, theoretical, conceptual, methodological and substantive issues in research and evaluation, meta-analyses and reviews synthesizing evidence and guidelines for practice.

All research articles in this journal have undergone a rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and followed by an anonymized refereeing engaging at least two anonymous referees.

IJEduR started its publications on 2009 and strictly respected the publishing continuity of the two issues each year (June, Dicember). Since the Vol. 25 (Year XIII, 2020), IJEduR adopts a new graphic layout.

The published papers appear in two issues per year in June and December (permanent call for papers) and the deadlines are:

  • February 28, for the regular issue of June;
  • August 31, for the regular issue of December.

It is possible to submit contributions in three sections: Researches, Experience and Studies. Please see our Guidelines for Author for information on article submission.
