Schools’ role in preventing gender-based violence: national operational programme’s opportunities
Abstract
Relating on recent gender equality and gender opportunities laws and regulations, this
paper will deepen gender education’s relevance in the Educational system, relying on
the outcomes of the questionnaire addressed to gather data on gender education in Italian
schools, provided by For School: skills and learning environments 2014-2020, National
Operational Programme (NOP).
Gender-based violence’s preventative measures survey allowed to focus on best practices’
indicators: temporal and educational continuity, schoolteachers training, community
key stakeholders’collaboration, development of specific instruments to promote
involved actors self-audit and reflectiveness.
