Assessment for improvement: STEMcompetences and soft skills
Abstract
The contribution shows an example of integration of assessment data in order to create a profile of students useful for developing key competences for lifelong learning, with
particular attention to the areas of STEM disciplines. The study collected data from standardized questionnaires on study strategies, from problem solving tests and tasks for mathematical competence. Individual and class profile allowed to develop processes of self-reflection for students, teachers and parents, highlighting how the classical methods of evaluation often do not enhance transversal aspects of students, such as collaborative learning, useful for more disciplines. At the same time, personalized improvement actions were implemented.
