In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has generated growing interest within the Italian educational landscape, reflected in a significant increase in editorial production dedicated to the topic. Numerous volumes have addressed AI from pedagogical, technological, and formative perspectives, highlighting the relevance and urgency of an interdisciplinary debate. Considering the rapid evolution of intelligent technologies and their impact on teaching and learning processes, this contribution aims to provide a systematic mapping of the literature published in Italy between 2014 and 2024. Adopting the scoping review methodology proposed by Arksey and O'Malley (2005) and later updated by Levac et al. (2010), the study analyzes the main thematic trends, methodological approaches, and target audiences of the publications, with the goal of outlining the current state of the art and identifying future directions for research and training.
