Technology and assessment: bio-bibliography of an integrated story

Abstract

The introduction at university of audiovisual/multimedia methodologies and e-learning happened simultaneously with the introduction of the “experimental pedagogy”, educational evaluation
and the research related to these disciplines. The University of Padua with the “Facoltà di Magistero” was a forerunner in these fields since the 1960s, to then consolidate, with the new Faculty of Education and the Department of Educational Sciences, the quality of actions developed at regional, national and international level, as well as the achievements in schools, vocational and lifelong
education and training, university innovation.
The fifty-year history of this integrated story of technological innovation and educational evaluation is here presented through the story of the Author's research, training and development activities, at first as president of National Conferences of new degree courses in Educational Sciences, then in Teacher Education and finally as president of the Deans of Faculties of Education.
