Among the numerous fields of intervention in which the educators are called to work today, the museum represents one of the most significant and, at the same time, one of the most controversial. On the one hand, museums have assumed increasing importance as lifelong learning institutions, able of promoting the social inclusion of publics with different educational needs. On the other hand, the professional profile and the training path of museum educator are not yet clearly defined.
