Effetti di lettura / Effects of Reading is a biannual peer-reviewed open access scientific journal that includes studies and research on issues of reading and reading aloud. The journal presents a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary focus, and is a space of dialogue for researchers and practitioners engaged in the study of reading processes and practices. It also includes experimental and empirical studies, reviews, historical and literary research, as well as relevant theoretical studies that focus on reading and reading aloud.
Effetti di lettura / Effects of Reading is linked to "Libri e Riviste d'Italia", Cepell's journal classifying Scientific Journals in the following Scientific-Disciplinary Areas: 11 (Historical, Philosophical, Pedagogical, and Psychological Sciences); 10 (Ancient, Philological–Literary and Historical–Artistic Sciences); 13 (Economics and Statistics); and 14 (Political and Social Sciences) of the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR). For each issue of Effetti di lettura / Effects of Reading two to four articles are also published, on paper and in the Italian language, in the journal "Libri e Riviste d'Italia".
All research articles in this journal have undergone a rigorous peer review, based on initial Editor-in-Chief screening, and followed by an anonymised refereeing, which involves at least two anonymous referees.
The journal publishes two issues each year (June, December).
The deadlines for the two calls for papers are:
- 30 March, for the publication of the June issue.
- 15 October, for the publication of the December issue.
The Journal gives priority to studies, evidence-based research, and rigorously monitored and controlled field experiences.
