Pedagogical research is needed to decipher the complexity of the current emergency in order to interpret the dynamics of development and formation of the humanum. It is an educational emergency that is configured as a relationship between the interpretation of reality and the implementation of educational and training choices that are planned and implemented in practice. The report “Riscriviamo il futuro. L’impatto del coronavirus sulla povertà educativa”, promoted in May 2020 by Save the Children, highlights the need to invest in childhood and education to combat educational poverty, raising questions about intergenerational responsibility and human rights. Outlining new theoretical models to ensure the adaptation of educational practices to the transformations of society implies generating genuine human progress: an educational path aimed at creating welcoming, inclusive and sustainable communities, tracing in them the signs of human experience from the perspective of integral ecology.
