Abstract
The subject of education in adulthood has its roots in the history and in particular the literacy process of individual countries and their different regional areas. The diversity of stories territorially also influences the ongoing processes we come across in a globalized and technological scenario, with the challenges of the relationship between knowledge and democracy in the context of the information society, the knowledge economy and the learning society. The discussion and pedagogical discourse on this subject highlight current trends in critical dialogue.
