Poetics of educational time
Abstract
In the field of training processes, the quality of the experience of time is a decisive factor.
The temporal direction in which any change in education is to be promoted is not that of the tyranny of urgency – the linear, logical, sequential flow of Krónos; rather, it is that of Kairós – the right time, in due course, a point of intersection between existential reality and planning, which enhances every authentic and irreducible aspect of human uniqueness.
The aim of the essay is to open up a debate on this radical and fundamental, but often neglected subject of time, in order to investigate the relationship between training, care, and giving.
