Abstract

Italy, while signing in September 2015 the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (ONU), committed to create a development model based on economic growth and human well-being, with a focus on reducing inequalities, respecting human rights, empowering women and protecting the environment.
The article, inspired by the goals proposed by the Final Report of the European
Commision’s Thematic Working Group on Early School Leaving (“Reducing early school leaving: key messages and policy support” – November 2013), pointed out that actions against ESL must be taken on three different levels: prevention, intervention and compensation measures to ensure young people's inclusion.
